Meet The Staff
OUR DEDICATED. PROFESSIONAL STAFF ARE ONE OF THE MANY THINGS THAT SET US APART. MEET SOME OF OUR KEY PLAYERS:
Jean Quinn, Director Au Pair in America
A mom of three active boys (including twins), Jean has been with Au Pair in America since 1999, and before that worked at another au pair program. Her roles at Au Pair in America have focused on all aspects of the program – from community counselor development, program curriculum development, screening, training, and operations management. Jean started working in the field because of the way it tied together her career passions of Cultural Exchange and Education. Jean was an elementary school teacher in New York and in London. She holds a BS in Education and an MS in International Education. Jean lives in Queens, NY. She loves to camp, travel, see extended family/friends, play guitar, shop at Flea Markets and be a part of her kids’ school functions whenever possible. As a working mom, Jean understands how having the right childcare to fit your family means everything to making all of the pieces of your life fit together! She is a host mom to her fourth au pair. Two of her au pairs extended for a second year and have been and still are part of her family!
Yasmine Osman, Deputy Director
Yasmine Osman joined Au Pair in America in 2004. Shortly after joining the program as Regional Program Manager she knew she had found her dream job and lifetime career. As Deputy Director Yasmine is looking forward to working on the program’s daily operations, compliance and future outlook. A true believer in the power of cultural exchange enriching the lives of people around the world, Yasmine studied abroad for 3 years at The American University in Cairo, Egypt, and understands that broadening your experience beyond your home can reshape your future in many ways. As a working mother of two Yasmine appreciates the importance of flexible and reliable childcare, and that there is no better way to broaden your children’s lives than by offering a true in home cultural experience. Bringing au pairs on the program from around the world to enhance their English language skills, gain new experiences and life-skills truly displays the purpose of the program’s intent to bring the world together. She looks forward to seeing APIA grow and continue to impact the lives of more American Families and au pairs.
