Marie says: "In November 2013 I passed my driving license succesfully. Now I try to drive as much as possible...I am interested in music. Even I do not play an instrument very well, I like singing. Since nine years I am singing in a choir once a week. I also like cooking or baking for my friends and family...I often go hiking, sailing, skiing, biking, running, fitness and swimming, which is my passion. I started swimming in a swimming club when I was five years old, that's why I am a really advanced swimmer...In September 2009 I decided to help my coach as an assistant for other swim-classes...For me, working one year abroad as an Au Pair is the perfect opportunity to experience the lifestyle of an unknown country and live and work in a hostfamily...The main reason for working as an Au Pair is that I really like to live with children and care for them..."

Karolina says: "Jogging is my big passion and I try to run every day. But sometimes I have a problem with it (for example in the winter). My next big passion is skiing. I started skiing when I was eight years old. I really like skiing because then I feel free and I am very happy. Each winter I with my family go to the mountain and ski. On TV I love watching ski jumping. I think it is the best sport but so dangerous for me that I will never try it. I am a big fan of Kamil Stoch and Adam Malysz - they are the best in the whole world."

Alejandra says: "I have been working as a babysitter for 6 years during this time I discovered my real vocation working with children, so I started getting interested in education. I have also heard that there are options for studying certifications to open nurseries in my country. I want to merge my vocation of pedagogy, psychology and gastronomy. I have been giving gastronomic courses to children, so they have the opportunity to learn how to prepare a tasty dish and be useful in life. And they will discover their talents, skills, opportunities, contrary to the traditional education. This is the methodology I want to introduce with them, increasing their self-esteem."

Janina says: "I play tennis in my free time and until last June I was rowing for the school team. I have been doing athletics in a club for a long time; then I started playing tennis. Later I wanted to coach younger kids in athletics, so I started working in our local sports club...It is so much fun working with the kids...I was in America twice. The first time I was on the East Coast and the second time I was at the West Coast... I would be excited to live in America. The Au Pair program combines something I love with something fascinating me: caring for children and getting to know the United States."

Alva says: "I have had a lot of experience with children as I have worked at a day care for 6 months and will be there for a total of 7 months. In kindergarten, I have had a lot of experience with younger children. Me and the children in my day care usually go on outings, play indoors, paint and sing. I also read fairy tales and am changing diapers in quantities. I got a lot of experience with children of younger ages and learned a lot about children of all different situations and react very instinctively when something happens."

Nathanelle says: "I baby-sat a lot. I began at the age of 12. It was for a 5-year-old girl and for her small 6-month-old sister. I played with the oldest and with regards to the youngest, I stayed up her mainly, even if I tried to distract her. Then I looked after two 5 and 7-year-old brothers. I cooked for them, brushed their teeth, put them in pyjamas and then they were going to sleep. Then, I had to look after three boys of 2, 7 and 10 years. I also made meals for them. I changed the diapers of the youngest if need. We watched TV, we played, and they told me about their life and anecdotes. During my year of terminal, 3 years ago, I kept two children, a brother and a sister. The older daughter, Youna, who was 7 years old at the time and Imanol was 4 years. I cared for them on Wednesday afternoons and on Saturday afternoons for ten months from September 2011 till June 2012. I looked after them for three hours a day."
