Regional Presence:
Au Pair In America has more than 30 clusters in Connecticut and
New York. The majority of the families live in Westchester and Fairfield
Counties but population centers are served across both states.
Quarterly Message:
July 2008
NY and CT clusters are gearing up for planning many outdoor activities that will introduce au pairs to American activities. Counselors will take au pairs to local baseball games, host barbeques, and travel down rivers in canoes. Canoe trips are a favorite activity, and each year brings new adventures to document in photos and emails home. Several clusters take a yearly walk across the Brooklyn Bridge, focusing on the view as they begin in Brooklyn Heights and end up in Chinatown for a lunch of dim sum -- a unique cultural exchange activity! As we head toward summer, many counselors focus their quarterly childcare meeting on summer safety. There are many useful tips on the Au Pair in America website at http://aupairinamerica.com/safety.htm. We're all looking forward to "springing forward" to warmer weather!
