As a host family you are expected to encourage and give your au pair every opportunity to take advantage of the educational and cultural offerings in your community. Au Pair in America Community Counselors also arrange cultural and social activities for the au pairs throughout the year. The au pair program is an educational and cultural exchange for the au pair and your entire family. Participation requires a commitment on the part of all parties to take advantage of the cultural offerings.
