Au Pair in America: live-in child care and cultural exchange.
What a Community Counselor Does

These meetings allow au pairs to share experiences and interact. During each quarter one monthly meeting should focus on an appropriate child development or child safety topic.

Community Counselors also organize:

  • trips to local points of interest
  • holiday parties, especially during December
  • group and/or individual bon voyage parties for departing au pairs

Counselors follow up by telephone and/or with visits to au pairs who do not attend monthly meetings or participate in cluster activities.

Au Pair in America matches carefully screened young women and nannies from
around the world who provide live-in child care during a year-long cultural exchange.
