Here's how to start the process for hosting YOUR au pair

Applying Online

Besides the online application, you also need to submit these forms before the matching process can begin:

• Employer reference
• Host family personal reference form
• Essay (which can be emailed. Click here for contact details.) This should describe your family and professional life, education, goals for your children, details of your children's weekly schedule of activities and reasons for wishing to have an au pair along with qualities important to the host family/au pair relationship.
• Four photos of your family, pets and friends with description of what is shown (not returnable)
• Host family agreement

Please make sure you have reviewed thoroughly the Au Pair in America program policies before proceeding. If you are using an older browser version such as Netscape 3 or Explorer 3, you will need to click here and run a two to three-minute updating process before accessing the online application.

Applying by Mail

Print out a pdf form and mail it. You may view the Au Pair in America application by downloading a pdf file reader (if you don't already have one). Components of the application include:

• New host family application
• Host family agreement
• Employer reference
• Extended payment plan application
• Host family personal reference form
• Program Support and Policies
